Privacy Policy

Balance Cleaner is an independent iOS app that helps you spend down a leftover Apple ID balance so you can change your App Store region. The app is built to collect as little as possible — in practice, nothing.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Balance Cleaner has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, Apple ID credentials, contacts, location, or any other personal information. The one thing that does leave your device is described in section 4: a single anonymous record when you complete a purchase, carrying no identifier and traceable to no one. What we tell Apple if you request a refund is described in section 3. This applies to the app. The website uses analytics only if you allow it; see section 9.

2. Data stored on your device

Any settings or preferences you choose are stored locally on your device only, using the system's standard local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or anyone else. Deleting the app removes this data.

3. Purchases and payments

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details, card information, or Apple ID. Apple's handling of purchases is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

If you ask Apple for a refund, Apple may ask us whether the purchase was delivered. The app has a setting, “Tell Apple about delivery on refund requests”, under “Privacy Policy” on its main screen; it is on by default. While it is on, each purchase carries a consent mark that is identical for every user and identifies no one, and by paying you agree that we may answer Apple with three facts: the wishes were delivered to your device, a free daily wish was available before you paid, and we would prefer the refund to be declined. The answer says nothing about you, and the decision is Apple’s alone. If you turn the setting off, your later purchases carry no mark and we send Apple nothing about them.

4. No tracking or advertising

The app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, no tracking, and no fingerprinting. We do not build profiles of users, and we have nothing to share or sell.

When you complete an in-app purchase — and only then — the app sends one record to a server we run ourselves: the app’s display language at that moment, which pack you bought, the App Store region, currency and price you were shown, and which screen the purchase came from. That record contains no identifier of any kind — no device ID, no advertising ID, no account or installation ID. Nothing links one purchase to another, or any purchase to you. We use it for one purpose: to see which languages and regions the app is bought in. Nothing is sent when you browse the app, open the widget, or receive a free daily wish.

5. Apple ID balance feature

Any guidance the app provides about checking or clearing your Apple ID balance is informational only. The app does not access your Apple account — you perform those actions yourself within Apple's own apps and settings.

6. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

7. Third parties

Apple delivers the app and processes App Store purchases. The server receiving the anonymous records described in section 4 is our own, hosted on Cloudflare, which acts solely as our hosting provider. No data is shared with any other third party, and nothing is ever sold.

8. Not affiliated with Apple

Balance Cleaner is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. "Apple", "Apple ID", and "App Store" are trademarks of Apple Inc.

9. The website and analytics

This section is about the balancecleaner.com website only, not the app. If you allow it in the banner, the site loads Yandex Metrica, an analytics service run by Yandex LLC. It sets cookies and records your visit: the pages you open, where you came from, your approximate location based on your IP address, your device and browser, and a replay of your actions on the page (Webvisor).

We use this only to understand how people find the site and what works on it. Without your consent Metrica does not load at all. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. How Yandex processes this data is described in its privacy policy.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
